Volunteer opportunity at Gamble: Garden Guides

Are you interested in becoming a member of our growing Garden Guide program? Gamble Garden horticultural staff invites you to attend an orientation session on Tuesday September 10 from 10:00am – 12:30pm. This informative session will give you a taste of our inquiry-based approach to Gamble’s historical “garden rooms” and to our specialty gardens such as the camellia, native plant, pollinator, and rain gardens. We’ll spend time in the classroom, out in the garden, and will break for a light lunch under the oaks.

The garden guide program is a great way to learn more about Gamble Garden while sharing your love of nature with others. People who complete the training will lead tours six to twelve times per year, including at our popular Second Saturdays. Guides choose flexible schedules and have the option to lead garden tours for adults or educational nature tours for families. With additional training, guides will have the opportunity to provide private group, school group, and member tours.
