On Tuesday, June 20th, the Endowment Fund Committee hosted a lovely summer evening reception to celebrate the installation of Gamble’s newest Endowment Fund Bricks and to welcome the newest members of the Elizabeth Gamble Garden ’02 Legacy Society. The Summer Garden Party was blessed with a perfect evening and an abundance of Gamble’s “most generous donors”. They came in the hundreds, 207 replied; yes, a record attendance.
Guests were welcomed into the Carriage House Courtyard with wine and refreshments. The event kicked off with welcome speeches from Board President Sarah Clark and Membership Chair Donna Bohling. Next, a recognition of endowed benches and bricks and honoring of Gamble Garden donors was led by Pat Davis, Endowment Fund Committee Chair. Friends and family members spoke a few words about the person they were honoring for endowed benches and bricks, sharing their connections with Gamble and their thanks.
’02 Legacy Society
Named after the year when the Gamble House was built, the Elizabeth Gamble Garden ’02 Legacy Society honors those who have remembered Gamble Garden in their estate plan. This year, the ’02 Legacy Society welcomed two members: Nancy Wong and Rob Lipshutz.

The Summer Garden Party was hosted by the Endowment Committee, the Hospitality Committee, and the Membership Committee. Many thanks to all committees for organizing this event and giving our donors the recognition they deserve.
This year was a success from the standpoint of raising a remarkable sum for the Endowment Fund, $220,005, and in recognizing seven long time faithful donors who lovingly wanted their remembrances in the form of benches and bricks. After the event, three women approached Endowment Chair Pat Davis to say they wanted a brick. None of whom any of our Endowment committee members had ever mentioned as a possibility, nor had approached for a named brick or bench, or even a small donation. Complete surprises!
Thank you to our devoted donors. We truly appreciate your support and generosity
