Come and spend a day exploring this year’s collection of show-stopping gardens. Five gardens have been selected for their beautiful and innovative landscaping designs, showcasing creativity and involvement, sophisticated entertaining, exotic getaways, or tranquil retreats.

From modern to traditional, from magnificent to intimate, lush to serene, these gardens are sure to inspire you with their lovely and creative approaches to dining, relaxing, and playing in your own garden.

Take a Sneak Peek at each garden below!

Sculptural Surprise

A wall of pittosporum shields this home from the hustle and bustle of busy neighboring streets, creating an oasis that invites recreation and enjoyment. Arched iron trellises are located throughout the property, with roses and clematis blooms cascading over the top. Sculptures of marble, iron, and stone grace the various garden rooms, transforming the space into an outdoor museum. An expansive terrace with a retractable awning allows for gatherings of all sorts, from casual chats with friends to the most sophisticated of events.

Garden Living

Filled with functional spaces and whimsical touches, this Craftsman home and garden was designed and built by the homeowners themselves. The front yard serves as a cutting garden filled with gorgeous color. A bounty of blooms including roses, wisteria, winter daphne, brugmansia, and sweet olive, provide heavenly scents all year round. The back yard is divided into a series of garden rooms: a fruit tree allée, bocce court, back lawn, and edible garden. A lounging area and outdoor dining area allow seamless indoor/outdoor living and entertaining.

Secret Garden

In a world of manicured gardens, this garden is a true reflection of the homeowners’ relaxed style. Volunteer plants are allowed to take root in every nook and cranny, growing alongside mature camellias and fruit trees, giving the homeowner a delightful surprise everywhere they spring up. Multiple seating areas offer rest in shady places for the homeowners’ daily time in the garden. A pathway leads to a secret garden where a hammock awaits under a giant redwood, the perfect place to get away from it all.

Room to Grow

“It has always been about the garden.” The homeowners fell in love with this garden at first sight, and maintaining its unique character has been a guiding principle throughout every home improvement. This shade-loving garden is characterized by an abundance of green with year-round pops of color, and rays of sunshine softened by the trees above. Highlights include multiple water elements, Japanese maples, and a stately oak in the middle of it all.

English Garden Revisited

This stately Tudor home and garden is straight out of a fairytale. Filled with rose-covered trellises, knot gardens, exquisite topiaries, and charming statuary, this garden will transport visitors straight to Shakespearean England. The homeowner, a landscape designer, created multiple gardens in her favorite styles, taking inspiration from the gardens of English garden designers such as Christopher Lloyd’s Great Dixter and Rosemary Verey’s Barnsley House.
