Join the Gamble Garden Membership Committee at a special lunch with Antonia Adezio, an expert in the field of historic garden conservation. As the founding director of the The Garden Conservancy, Antonia Adezio knows a thing or two about historic gardens and the importance of their conservation. Today she serves as Executive Director of the Marin Art and Garden Center and has written and traveled world wide.
A Tale of Two Gardens will focus on the history of Marin Art and Garden Center (MAGC) and how her experience at the Garden Conservancy has informed the strategic master planning process now underway for the future of MAGC. The talk will also focus on the similarities, opportunities and challenges that both MAGC and Gamble Garden have in common, finishing with a lively conversation with Gamble Garden Director, Richard Hayden, where they will discuss their respective experiences sustaining historic public gardens.
This is a members-only event. Please bring a brown bag lunch. The Membership Committee will serve cookies and water.
