Free Activities

Guided Tours and Nature Hunts
Kids and adults will enjoy getting their “nature eyes” working as we explore all the special places in the garden. We’ll use all five senses to search for butterflies and bees, fountains and pools, tasty treats in the edible garden, as we discover what’s blooming at Gamble Garden.

Arrange a Bouquet and Make a Colorful Card for Mom
Kids make a small vase of freshly cut flowers and a card to take home for Mom. (This is a special activity hosted by the wonderful volunteers of the Palo Alto Garden Club.) Adults and older children can try their hand at making a Mother’s Day card with watercolor pencils and brushes.

Visit Elizabeth’s House
Walk through Elizabeth’s house, built in 1902. Enjoy beautiful flower arrangements from the garden in every room. Our docents will be on hand to answer questions and share stories of old.

Master Gardeners Table
Bring your gardening questions and learn from a master gardener!
