Enjoy a morning on the shaded Gamble patio and learn how to create a stunning floral centerpiece. The beauty of the Gamble gardens will inspire us as we design a luxurious arrangement filled with seasonal blooms using foam free mechanics.

Katherine will share tips on how to purchase, care for and design with the best the summer season has to offer. You will leave class with a cheerful arrangement to further enjoy at home and with some newly found floral design skills.

All materials provided. Please bring your favorite pair of floral shears to use. Unfortunately, at this time we are not able to offer shared tools.

Please come and join us for our first outdoor design experience of the summer.

All attendees will be required to wear face masks and maintain a social distance of six feet. Attendees are asked to provide their own shears. All tables, chairs, and tools will be cleaned before and after the class.

Restrooms will be available for attendees only, not for general visitors to the garden.

Instructor bio:
Katherine is an instructor and floral arranger at Gamble Garden and she co-led the floral design program at Filoli for eight years.  She holds a European Master Certification (EMC) and also a Teacher’s Diploma in the Sogetsu school of Ikebana. Katherine exhibits at Bouquets to Art at the deYoung Museum and she conducts public floral demonstrations.
Seasonal and locally grown material, with an emphasis on the beauty of California floriculture, is showcased in her designs.  She also enjoys incorporating eastern and western design philosophies in her work.  For more information please refer to www.kjglazierdesign.com.
