Learn the basics of how to grow your own summer vegetables! This class covers essential plant needs and how to raise common annual vegetables like zucchini, peppers, cucumbers, and tomatoes from seed to harvest. Designed for the beginning and hopeful backyard gardener, this class will include demonstration and practice of potting plants, as well as a tour of the edible garden.

This class is suitable for adults and teens. Please bring garden gloves if you have them. All other supplies are included, and gloves will be available.

Instructor Bio

Grace has been working at Gamble for a little more than two years. She is an anthropology graduate from St Mary’s College of California. Grace has worked and volunteered at Gamble in a variety of different positions, including event coordinator, landscape designer, and baker.
