Learn the basics of how to grow your own winter vegetables! This class covers essential plant needs and how to raise common annual and cold season veggies such as broccoli, peas, and cabbage, from seed to harvest. Designed for the beginning and hopeful backyard gardener, this class will include demonstration and practice of potting plants, culminating in a tour of the edible garden.

This class is suitable for adults and teens. Please bring garden gloves if you have them. All other supplies are included, and gloves will be available.

Instructor Bio

Grace brings a varied background to Gamble Garden. She holds a degree in Anthropology from St. Mary’s College of California. In past roles, Grace has worn many hats: event coordinator, landscape designer, and baker, among them.
