Harvest Table Garlands

Date:

Saturday, November 21 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am

Location:
1431 Waverley Street
Palo Alto, CA 94301 United States

Join us for this new workshop! Learn how to create a beautiful and welcoming garland designed for your Thanksgiving table.

We will create a textural garland that celebrates the warmth and abundance of the harvest season.  Learn how to create this table design from loose bundles of greens and branches with the option to adorn it with seasonal blooms, cones, and pods.

Instructor Katherine Glazier will demonstrate techniques for constructing your garland and share ideas for adding finishing touches, such as ribbon accents and other seasonal details.

You will also learn how to further personalize your design at home with mini pumpkins, gourds, and other harvest treasures.

Registration closes on Monday, November 16 to allow time for supply preparation.

Please bring your floral clippers. Flowers and other materials are included.

Katherine Glazier is an instructor and floral arranger at Gamble Garden, and she co-led the floral design program at Filoli for eight years. She holds a European Master Certification (EMC) and a Teacher’s Diploma in the Sogetsu school of Ikebana. Katherine exhibits at Bouquets to Art at the deYoung Museum, and she conducts public floral demonstrations. Seasonal and locally grown material, with an emphasis on the beauty of California floriculture, is showcased in her designs. She also enjoys incorporating eastern and western design philosophies in her work.
