Instructor Bio
Jean Choe is a watercolor artist and instructor based in San Mateo. Known for her vibrant, nature-inspired artwork and encouraging teaching style, Jean creates a welcoming space where anyone can enjoy painting — no experience needed. Her workshops are thoughtfully designed to help people slow down, connect with creativity, and leave with something they’re proud of. Jean has taught for organizations including the San Mateo County Library system, Redwood City Library, and Swirl Works, and regularly leads watercolor workshops throughout the Bay Area. When she’s not teaching, she runs her art business, Jean Choe Art & Design, where she turns her original paintings into prints, cards, and watercolor kits that celebrate everyday beauty.
