Edible Gardening for Spring & Summer

Date:

Location:
1431 Waverley Street
Palo Alto, CA 94301 United States

Step into Gamble’s edible garden for an interactive class that blends practical gardening knowledge with seasonal inspiration. Guided by Gamble Garden’s Horticultural Staff, you’ll learn why and how we planned the edible plants in our beds; how we companion plant; how we irrigate and amend soil; and protect crops from pests and weather. Explore (and possibly taste) what’s in season now, what gardening techniques these plants require, and get a sneak peek at what’s coming next for this area, including a review of planting and seeding calendars and timing. We’ll also explore topics like perennial edibles and how to weave food plants into ornamental landscapes.

This class offers a unique opportunity to learn directly from the experts who tend Gamble’s edible garden every day. Come curious, leave inspired—and ready to bring new ideas to your own garden.
