Learn the amazing art of bookmaking. At this in-person class, you will make your own “Asian Stab Binding” book using an assortment of beautiful Japanese floral-patterned papers, handmade botanical papers and colorful bees-waxed linen thread. Asian Stab Binding books make delightful garden journals, wonderful sketchbooks and treasured gifts. All materials provided.

This workshop will be held at the Gamble Garden Carriage House. Suitable for teens and adults. All students must be fully vaccinated. Masks must be worn during the entire class whether indoors or outdoors.

This special class will be taught by Cheryl Ball and C.K. Itamura, co-founders of Book Arts Roadshow. Book Arts Roadshow, an official member of the Arts Education Alliance of the Bay Area, is an arts organization that provides Book Arts learning experiences for children, teens & grown-ups.
