Enter the Garden

Join us for the 34th annual Spring Tour: Friday, April 26 & Saturday, April 27, 10 am – 4 pm

Each destination on our Spring Tour is a manifestation of a uniquely personal take on “Enter the Garden”, this year’s theme. The gardens range from retreats that have evolved along with the homeowners’ lives, showcasing their creativity and involvement, to places of tranquility, both exotic and sophisticated.

Tickets are available on the day of the event for $40 at Gamble Garden.

Tour the Gardens

A feast for the Senses
The soothing sounds of running water and the fragrance of herbs and flowers combine with contrasting textures and an abundance of visual delights: shades of green with year-round pops of color, rays of sunshine softened by the trees above, and blooms throughout. Click here to learn more.

Simplicity is the Ultimate Sophistication
Drawing from elements of Japanese garden design, this garden achieves a minimalist elegance that’s restrained without being manicured. Asian influences include a zipper path to the front door (inspired by an ancient Kyoto garden), bronze bamboo sculptures, and a Moon Gate. A dramatic focal point, the gate is made of Ipe, the prized Brazilian hardwood. Click here to learn more.

A sheep in Palo Alto?
Playful, chic touches characterize a garden designed for family living. An enlarged patio and expansive garden provide plenty of space for stylish entertaining or active play, while boxwood topiaries and a charming black sheep sculpture add a touch of whimsy. Click here to learn more.

East Meets West
Sculptured driftwood gates open into a garden that blends tropical and formal, vibrant and tranquil. Exotic orchids, bamboo, and lush greenery transport pay homage to the gardens of the homeowner’s native Vietnam, while mature oaks, gardenias, and roses honor the style and feel of a historic Professorville home. Click here to learn more.

Paradise in a Meadow
Wander through a meadow garden where flowering trees and shrubs, bamboo, grasses, bulbs and perennials mingle in happy abandon. Inspired by New York City’s High Line Garden, this stroller’s paradise evokes the Elysian Fields, seamlessly weaving together 500 plant varieties into a harmonious whole. Click here to learn more.

Thank you to our 2019 tour destination homeowners and their designers
