“Why We Love Roses” with Patti Spezzaferro will cover the history of roses, roses in art and literature, uses of roses, types, and forms of roses and using roses in food. There will be time for questions and answers and a short reception for the participants to taste gourmet rose products.

Instructor Bio:

Patti Spezzaferro is a Master Gardener and Vice President of the Peninsula Rose Society. She speaks regularly on the topics of “Why We Love Roses” and “Growing Roses Organically in the San Francisco Bay Area”. She has an Art History Degree and was an Art Director and graphic designer for ten years for the Anglican Diocese of Toronto. In her free time, she is passionate about tending to her 200 roses which include tree roses, rose shrubs and climbing roses.
