In this class, you’ll learn basic terminology, optimal timing, and essential aesthetic pruning techniques, as well as how to make pruning decisions for different types of roses. The session includes both lecture and garden demonstrations to help you see pruning in action.
Taught by Gamble Garden’s Garden Manager—a horticulturist with more than 20 years of experience tending these very roses–this is a rare opportunity to learn directly from an expert in a living classroom of beautiful roses. Space is limited. Registration is on a first come, first served basis

Ella Ancheta is Gamble Garden’s Garden Manager. She is a professional horticulturist with over 20 years of experience pruning these very roses. She has been teaching volunteers at the garden how to prune roses for many years and is excited to now invite the public to learn from her.
