November Second Saturday – November 9, 2019

Saturday, November 9, 2019, 10:00am - 11:30am
1431 Waverley Street Palo Alto, CA 94301

Gamble Garden welcomes you to spend a beautiful November morning with us!  Explore our unique three-acre garden on a guided garden tour for adults or nature hunt for families.  Enjoy hands-on activities. This month’s theme is “Sensational Seeds!” Second Saturdays are free and open to all.

For Adults: Free Garden Tour at 10 AM

Our November guided garden tour for adults will focus on the fascinating life of seeds!   Come see what is happening in the garden this month.

For Families: Free Guided Nature Hunts at 10, 10:30 and 11 AM

Many creatures visit Gamble Garden for food, nesting or resting. Join Garden Director Richard Hayden and our Garden Guides as we explore the many animals and plants that can be found throughout the garden. We’ll get our “nature eyes” working as we explore, look for birds and pollinators, overturn rocks and logs, and discover the many different ways the garden provides habitat for animals, both big and small.  The Nature Hunt is ideal for families with children ages 3-10.

Hands-on activities let little scientists get up close and personal with seeds!

Visit Elizabeth’s House

Walk through Elizabeth’s house, built in 1902, and get a view into the early days of Palo Alto. Our history docents are on hand to answer questions and share stories of old. The Santa Clara Chapter of Master Gardeners will be in the library to answer your toughest home gardening questions.

Plant Sale

Gamble Garden offers a unique selection of plants for sale at reasonable prices.  Pick up a plant that suits your needs, and bring a little piece of Gamble Garden home with you!  Knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer your plant selection and care questions.
