Currently, The New Acoustic Collective has two albums out; “Buckwild” was their debut, released in the middle of the pandemic on December 27th, 2020, and “Art of Acoustics” their first full length album; released September 20th, 2021. The group is currently working on their 3rd album and 2nd full-length release. This album is to be recorded in early March, 2022.

The New Acoustic Collective has a new single “Dawg’s Cha Cha” featuring Jim Kerwin & Thomas Cassell out on all platforms and their Bandcamp on Friday, April 1st! Stay tuned for their new single towards their new album release!

The New Acoustic Collective had the opportunity to network and perform in Raleigh, North Carolina in September of 2021 immediately following their 2nd album release “Art of Acoustics”; as IBMA Official Showcase Artists in the Bluegrass Ramble at The International Bluegrass Music Association’s; “World of Bluegrass.”

Press for “Art of Acoustics”“Art of Acoustics is their second full-length release and it’s characterized by drive and inventiveness. The album’s great opener, “Back in California” recalls the David Grisman Quintet’s “E.M.D.” and Chick Corea’s “Spain”… The New Acoustic Collective has critical strengths: drive, mastery of time, and balance among instruments. I commend the group for their skill and determination in presenting acoustic music in an innovative lineup… [Overall]; the NAC is superbly tight and enjoyable.”© Patrick Ragains, Minor 7th webzine.

Press for “Buckwild” “New Acoustic Music has always existed on the outskirts of the bluegrass and jazz worlds since its creation. The harsh reality of “spacegrass” is that while many can pull off the note filled solos, burning tempos, or intricate chord structures, very few can capture its true energy. On “Buckwild”, that is exactly what these young West Coast musicians have done.”

Thomas Cassell, mandolinist, educator, writer

Further Press:“It’s great to see younger musicians coming up playing this style. This kind of music has aspiration and progress built into it. It’s a path that has a heart. Play on, guys!” Darol Anger, Fiddler, Educator, Original member of The David Grisman Quintet

Wyatt Rice mentions, “I couldn’t be more proud of how Jason and Company are carrying on the torch of New Acoustic, Dawg, and Space Grass music.
