Second Saturdays at Gamble are back! March’s theme is Captivating Camellia: The Queen of Winter Flowers, and we’re reopening the gardens for nature hunts and exhibits in a safe, socially-distanced format.

SELF-GUIDED HUNT

Spend a beautiful March morning at Gamble Garden as you hunt for the queen of winter flowers, the captivating camellia! Our garden guides will be on hand from 10 AM to Noon to help you discover what makes camellias so exquisite. When you check in, you will receive a complimentary map with the names and locations of a dozen of our most prized heritage camellias, including the Kumasaka, a cultivar dating back to 1695.

SPECIAL FOR FAMILIES

Kids will receive a handy magnifier and a fun Camellia Tracker Chart to use on their hunt.

CAMELLIA EXHIBIT

Don’t miss the fabulous display table exhibiting camellia blooms, courtesy of the San Francisco Peninsula Camellia Society.
To ensure a safe and distanced experience, we require registration for a timed entry to Second Saturday.

FREE, REGISTRATION REQUIRED
