Learn all about succulents and create two beautiful succulent container arrangements.
Instructor Vicki Sullivan will introduce succulents, show how to duplicate them, and what it means to harden off. She will have 3 different pots with same plants, etc. for the demo. They show what one pot looked like at the beginning, then 1 week later, then 3 months later. Vicki will then move on to the day’s effort, explaining a center plant, a filler, and a dropper, preparing a pot with screening at the bottom, succulent soil, watering, and fertilizing.
The attendees will make one arrangement in a ceramic planter, and a second in a repurposed container for a whimsical feel.
Attendees can bring a repurposed container, such as an old watering can, toaster, electric coffee pot, or anything that is no longer useful. Vicki will also have a selection of creative pots and clay pots to use for the second arrangement. We recommend bringing your own apron, trowel, and gardening gloves.
