Gamble Garden welcomes you to spend a beautiful June morning with us! Explore our unique three-acre garden in a guided garden tour or family nature hunt. Second Saturdays are free and open to all.
For Adults: Free Garden Tours
Our June garden tours will focus on our fabulous flowers from roses to wildflowers. Join us to observe and enjoy their beauty, fragrance, and function.
For Families: Free Guided Nature Hunts
Many creatures visit Gamble Garden for food, nesting or resting. Join Garden Director Richard Hayden and our Garden Guides as we explore the many animals and plants that can be found throughout the garden. We’ll get our “nature eyes” working as we explore, look for birds and pollinators, overturn rocks and logs, and discover the many different ways the garden provides habitat for animals, both big and small. The nature hunts are ideal for families with children age 3-10.
All tours and nature hunts will be offered at 10 AM, 10:30, and 11 AM. Tours will depart from thePop-Up Tents. We lead our tours rain or shine. During the rainy season, we encourage you to bring your poncho and rain boots! Please register below.
Nature Activity Table
Hands-on activities let little scientists get up close and personal with plants, worms and bugs.
Visit Elizabeth’s House
Walk through Elizabeth’s house, built in 1902, and get a look into the early days of Palo Alto. Our house docents are on hand to answer questions and share stories of old. The Santa Clara Chapter of Master Gardeners will be on hand in the house to answer your toughest home gardening questions.
Gamble Garden offers a unique selection of plants for sale at reasonable prices. Pick up a plant that suits your needs, and bring a little piece of Gamble Garden home with you! Knowledgeable staff are on hand to answer your plant questions.
