Gamble Garden is turning 40 and you are invited! We’ll have 40 birthday cakes to celebrate Gamble’s 40th birthday party.
Guided Tours and Nature Hunts
Explore the historic home and garden on an informative tour around the property. Tours meet in front of the house, and our expert guides will point out seasonal highlights and thematic points of interest along with explaining the origins of the estate. Take a scavenger hunt with you and see what you can find along the way! Garden tours begin at 10:15, 10:45, and 11:30 am.
Sun and Photosynthesis Exploration
Visit kid-friendly education and craft stations around the garden that highlight the summer solstice and the sun. Make a translucent suncatcher to take home.
Storytime
Enjoy a wellness storytime, and listen to stories about the sun at our sun-themed storytime with YCS reader Aubrey
Visit Elizabeth’s House
Walk through Elizabeth’s house, built in 1902, and get a look into the early days of Palo Alto. Our docents will be on hand to answer questions and share stories of old.

Second Saturdays are FREE and open to all. Register online in advance, or at the door. Choose from 10:00am, 10:30am, or 11:00 am entry times. All Second Saturday guests, when you arrive, please check in at one of our two Welcome Tables in order to enjoy the Second Saturday tours and special activities.
