Second Saturdays are wonderful for all ages, rain or shine!
Gamble Garden welcomes you to spend the morning with us. Explore our unique 3-acre garden in a guided garden tour or a family nature hunt. Second Saturdays are free and open to all.
NATURE HUNTS FOR YOUNG FAMILIES
Nature Hunts are wonderful for all ages but ideal for kids 3-10 years old and their grown-ups.
Many creatures visit Gamble Garden for food, nesting or resting. Join Garden Director Richard Hayden and our Garden Guides as we explore the many animals and plants that can be found throughout the garden. We’ll get our “nature eyes” working as we explore, look for birds and pollinators, overturn rocks and logs, and discover the many different ways the garden provides habitat for animals, both big and small.
Bring binoculars and a magnifier if you have them. Download a map to Gamble Garden here.
Children can enjoy nature crafts inspired by the plants and animals at Gamble.
VISIT ELIZABETH’S HOUSE
Tour the first floor of the Gamble Garden house, built in 1902, to see what life was like in Palo Alto, 100 years ago. Our house docents are on hand to share stories of old and answer questions.
