iPhone Garden Photography

Sunday, March 19, 2017, 1:30pm - 3:30pm
1431 Waverley St.

This hands-on class is an introduction to the art of iPhone photography in the garden using basic techniques and key features of the camera. After a brief orientation session in the Carriage House on the mechanics of the iPhone camera and some simple rules of composition, local photographer Tom Upton will lead us outside to take pictures in Gamble Garden. Tom will work closely with individuals on composition techniques that can be used anywhere without special equipment, only special knowledge. Class size is limited so that each person can have personal attention.

Tom Upton became a budding photographer in sixth grade and his enthusiasm has not waned. He is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, and opened his first studio in Palo Alto in 1982. He has been a commercial photographer for 30 years and is the creator of PhotoTrainer, which offers private and small group training to people using DSLR cameras.
