Katherine is a flower arranger for Gamble Garden and she co-leads the floral design program at Filoli. She was trained by Anne Patrick of the Constance Spry School of London England. Katherine recently earned her European Master Certification.
In her designs, Katherine prefers to use seasonally and domestically grown material with an emphasis on the beauty of California grown floriculture.
Currently, Katherine is a student of the Sogetsu school of ikebana and she enjoys incorporating eastern and western design philosophies into her floral designs. Katherine exhibits at the De Young museum’s Bouquets to Art, Filoli’s annual flower show and she conducts many public floral demonstrations.
