Hand-tied bouquets are a lovely way to celebrate a special occasion—or simply brighten someone’s day, including your own! Summer is the perfect season to explore some simple, approachable techniques for crafting those loose, airy arrangements everyone loves.

In this workshop, you’ll work with fresh, seasonal blooms like Roses, Veronica, Queen Anne’s lace, and delicate vines such as Jasmine. Learn how to design bouquets full of natural movement and charm. Instructor Katherine Glazier will also share some tips on how to wrap your bouquet for a stunning final touch.

Please bring your floral clippers. Flowers and other materials are included. This class is suitable for adults and teens.

Instructor Bio

Katherine Glazier is an instructor and floral arranger at Gamble Garden and she co-led the floral design program at Filoli for eight years. She holds a European Master Certification (EMC) and a Teacher’s Diploma in the Sogetsu school of Ikebana. Katherine exhibits at Bouquets to Art at the deYoung Museum and she conducts public floral demonstrations. Seasonal and locally grown material, with an emphasis on the beauty of California floriculture, is showcased in her designs.
