Celebrate the Lunar New Year at Gamble Garden on Second Saturday in February!

Gamble Garden welcomes you to spend a wintry morning with us searching for signs of spring.  Explore our unique 3-acre garden in a guided garden tour or family nature hunt. Second Saturdays are free and open to all.

FOR adults: FREE GUIDED NATURE HUNTS

Our February garden tours will focus on taking a close look at the fascinating trees at Gamble Garden.

FOR FAMILIES: Free guided nature hunts

Many creatures visit Gamble Garden for food, nesting or resting. Join Garden Director Richard Hayden and our Garden Guides as we explore the many animals and plants that can be found throughout the garden. We’ll get our “nature eyes” working as we explore, look for birds and pollinators, overturn rocks and logs, and discover the many different ways the garden provides habitat for animals, both big and small.

Family nature hunts and adult garden tours will be offered at 10 AM, 10:30 AM, and 11 AM. Tours will depart from the Carriage House and last 30 minutes. We lead our tours rain or shine. During the rainy season, we encourage you to bring your poncho and rain boots!  Please register below.

NATURE CRAFTs: Tremendously Terrific Trees!

After exploring the garden on your garden tour or nature hunt, discover the excitement of trees through a variety of hands-on activities brought to you by Canopy.

VISIT ELIZABETH’S HOUSE

Walk through Elizabeth’s house, built in 1902, and get a look into the early days of Palo Alto.  Our house docents are on hand to answer questions and share stories of old.
