Winter is a time to marvel at trees. Gamble Garden welcomes you to spend a beautiful December morning with us! Explore our unique three-acre garden with garden tours and education for adults and families. Second Saturdays are free and open to all.
FREE ACTIVITIES
For Adults: Free Guided Garden Tours
Come along to discover over two dozen distinct tree species in our garden. While some of the native trees may have predated the Gamble family, others are specimens from Asia, Europe, and Australia that were planted in the last century. Winter is a lovely time of year to appreciate canopies swaying in cool winds, exposed trunks illuminated by low winter sun, and deeply colored fruits clinging to bare branches while they sleep.
For Families: Free Guided Nature Hunts
Your family is invited to join a Gamble Garden Guide as we explore the many animals and plants that can be found throughout the garden. We’ll get our “nature eyes” working as we hunt for trees, plants, insects and other animals that live in the winter garden. The Nature Hunt is ideal for families with children ages 3-10.
Nature Activity Table: Terrifically Tree-mendous Trees
Kids will make a fun nature craft celebrating trees!
