Create a Spring Centerpiece for Easter

Celebrate the Easter season with a socially-distanced, flower-filled class at Gamble Garden.  Learn how to create a stunning centerpiece with seasonal blooms such as tulips, freesia, and more, using foam free mechanics.

Instructor Katherine Glazier will share helpful tips on how best to purchase, care for, and design with beautiful spring blooms and branches.  She will also demonstrate some additional design ideas to further inspire you.

You will leave class with a cheerful arrangement to enjoy further at home and some newly found floral arranging skills.  Come and spend a creative morning in Gamble’s glorious garden.

All materials provided.  Please bring your own tools-floral shears for cutting flower stems and small branches.

For everyone’s health and safety, in-person classes will be held outdoors and class size will be limited. All participants will be required to wear masks and practice social distancing, in accordance with current Santa Clara County guidelines.

Katherine is an instructor and floral arranger at Gamble Garden and she co-led the floral design program at Filoli for eight years. She holds a European Master Certification (EMC) and a Teacher’s Diploma in the Sogetsu school of Ikebana.  Katherine exhibits at Bouquets to Art at the deYoung Museum and she conducts public floral demonstrations. Seasonal and locally grown material, with an emphasis on the beauty of California floriculture, is showcased in her designs.  She also enjoys incorporating eastern and western design philosophies in her work.  For more information please refer to: www.kjglazierdesign.com.
