INSTRUCTOR BIO:

The Chamber Music Society of San Francisco is dedicated to bringing chamber music masterworks to diverse audiences. CMS of SF is passionate about concertizing in intimate settings, creating close connections between performers and listeners, and cultivating a relationship between music and audiences that extends far beyond the perimeter of the concert hall. Drawing listeners into the lives of the composers and the world of the music, CMS of SF concerts are a favorite destination for both chamber music lovers and those new to the genre.

Members of CMS of SF can be heard performing with the San Francisco Symphony, SF Opera,  SF Ballet, the San Francisco and New Century Chamber Orchestras, American Bach Soloists, the Oakland Symphony and many others.

Founding members Natasha Makhijani, Jory Fankuchen, Clio Tilton, and Samsun van Loon came together through their mutual love of the late Beethoven String Quartets. Collaborations have included artists such as Kay Stern, Stephen Prutsman, Jean-Michel Fonteneau, and Jodi Levitz.
