Be inspired by Gamble’s flora and learn the fundamentals of monotype block printmaking. We will begin with a tour through the gardens for inspiration. Instructor Charles Woodruff Coates will show attendees how to draw simple botanical shapes from observation. You will learn how to transform these drawings into stamps that you will use (and keep!) for monotype-printmaking. Together, we’ll create a series of unique paper images that you will take home for your walls and you will take your block home with you to reuse with crafts.
