Saturday, January 20, 2018, 10:00am - 11:30am
1431 Waverley Street

Do you love the idea of harvesting your own fruit but aren’t sure how to grow healthy, productive fruit trees? Join this class to learn an easy technique for planting and maintaining smaller-sized, easy-harvest trees in your garden. This class provides an overview of tree selection, planting, and maintenance (including pruning, irrigation, fertilization, and pest management). February is the ideal time to plant your own bare-root trees, so come learn how to get started!

Jeff Scroggin runs his own landscape management business on the San Francisco peninsula. He is an avid horticulturalist and fruit-grower with over twenty years’ experience maintaining landscapes that thrive in the area’s unique climate. In addition, Jeff currently volunteers his time maintaining the orchard at Filoli estate in Woodside.
